Fostering Health
The Acton Public Health Nursing Service is dedicated to fostering individual and community health in the Town of Acton. The nursing service provides certified home health (VNA) and public-health services to Acton residents and the surrounding towns of Concord, Boxborough, Stow, Carlisle, and Littleton.

This includes a full-range of home health care services to Acton residents, including:
  • Home health aide assistance
  • Medical social services
  • Physical, occupational, and speech therapy
  • Skilled nursing

Additional Services
Other services offered include:
  • A variety of clinics
  • Blood-pressure monitoring
  • TB testing
  • Vaccinations

Walk-in services are provided at our office on the second floor of Town Hall, located at 472 Main Street, for adult and childhood vaccinations and blood-pressure checks. We encourage people to call (978) 929-6650 before coming to assure availability of a nurse to assist you.

Organization

Acton Public Health Nursing Service, founded in 1923, is a Medicare / Medicaid certified home care agency governed by the Acton Board of Health. Skilled services are covered by insurance such as Medicare, Medicaid, and most major insurance carriers.
